Floral Wreath   This appliqué workshop focuses on the basic techniques of the needle-turn appliqué stitch. This class is very thorough, beginning with the presentation of Angela’s preferred appliqué tools and techniques and ending with the hands-on application of the appliqué stitch. Upon completing this class you will have all the information you need to complete your appliqué quilt project and be well on your way to mastering the needle-turn stitch.   Length: Half-Day (3-hour) or Full-Day (6-hour) Skill Level: Beginner

A Bowl Full of Posies Reinforce your skills in needle-turn appliqué during this workshop. Learn how easy this intricate floral pattern can be to create using the helpful tips provided by Angela. During the workshop Angela will demonstrate her needle-turn appliqué techniques and include a brief lecture on color, which will highlight the importance of value, intensity, texture, scale and accent when selecting fabrics for your floral bouquet. Late Summer Bouquet This workshop is for the appliqué student who is ready for a challenge. The workshop will begin with a brief discussion of color, stressing the importance of creating balance and harmony within a five-block floral quilt. Angela will demonstrate her needle-turn appliqué techniques during the workshop including the steps to create the four three-dimensional flowers integrated into the pattern. The pattern, “Late Summer Bouquet,” is an original design by Angela Lawrence. Length: Two-Day Skill Level: Intermediate

Simply Paisley Join Angela for this unique adventure! The paisley pattern opens the door to a wonderful range of fabric and color opportunities. The application of beginning needle-turn appliqué techniques will be the primary focus of the class while providing the beginning student who is ready for an intermediate level challenge an opportunity to advance their quilting skills. The workshop will include a brief discussion on color as well as advice on fabric selection. Folk Art Floral  This class begins with demonstrations of needle-turn appliqué techniques. Your applique skills will be reinforced through your stitching of nine simple floral appliqué blocks, which can be completed using traditional or contemporary fabrics. William Morris During this workshop students will use Angela’s “Arts & Crafts Series” patterns inspired by the designs of William Morris to create their personalized William Morris appliqué quilt. This two-day workshop includes a design lecture that will inspire and instruct you in the creation of your arts & crafts quilt. The lecture will include a brief presentation on the principles of color and fabric selection. Angela’s “Arts & Crafts Series” patterns will be available to purchase during the class.
